One of the easiest patriotic DIYs ever, and it looks so high-end once it’s framed. The process is incredibly straightforward, making it accessible for crafters of all skill levels. To begin, I simply removed the flags from the sticks. Once detached, I carefully selected a few thrifted frames that had a charming vintage aesthetic, as well as some sleek and modern options from Amazon to suit various decor styles. The end result was a delightful and eye-catching summer decor moment that adds a touch of patriotism to any space. After arranging the flags within the frames, I secured them in place and hung them on the wall, or placed them on a shelf, where they could be admired.

This DIY project is perfect for a variety of occasions, including:

  • Memorial Day, where we honor and remember those who have served our country, making this decor a meaningful addition to any gathering.

  • Fourth of July celebrations, where the vibrant colors of red, white, and blue shine bright, enhancing the festive atmosphere of barbecues and fireworks.

  • Lake house decor, as these framed flags bring a touch of Americana to your summer retreats, complementing the natural beauty of the surroundings.

  • Summer shelves and tablescapes, where they can serve as charming centerpieces or accents that elevate your seasonal decor, adding a playful yet sophisticated vibe to your home.

This project serves as proof that simple ideas always turn out the cutest, demonstrating how a little creativity can transform inexpensive materials into beautiful home decor that resonates with the spirit of summer and patriotism.

Supplies used:

  • 4x6 picture frame with mat, which provides the perfect backdrop for showcasing the flags while adding a polished finish to the overall look.

  • Stick American flags, which are not only budget-friendly but also readily available, making this project easy to replicate for anyone looking to add a touch of festive flair to their decor.
